GROW...
Our mission is to GROW in Christ
and serve others
Faith Formation is an important part of the ministry of Faith Lutheran Church as we aim to encourage, foster, and accompany people as they grow in their faith in Jesus Christ.
Everyone is welcome as we grow in faith together!
Faith Formation for Youth
Kids between grades pre-k through 6th are invited to attend Faith in Action which meets every Wednesday at 5:30pm during the school year. There's FOOD! FUN! And lots of learning about Jesus! Kids learn about the Bible, but also learn the Lord's Prayer, the 10 Commandments, and The Apostles Creed.
After church on Sunday mornings, the kids are invited to attend Sunday School. Their lessons generally align with what the pastor is preaching on.
Youth in 7th and 8th grade attend Confirmation that meets at 6pm during the school year. In the two year curriculum cycle, they dig deeper into the Bible (one year), and learn about Martin Luther's Small Catechism (The Lords Prayer, The Apostles Creed, and Ten Commandments), all the while exploring questions they may have about their faith and how what we learn in church applies to their lives today.
Students are confirmed in the fall of their 9th grade year after all of their requirements are completed.
•Faith Lutheran Church sends their kids to camp! And not just kids; parents and grandparents, too! Camp is an amazing place to explore faith and have fun away from home! If you are interested in attending camp this summer, camperships are available to all Faith members. Please talk to the church office and check out www.camponomia.org for more information
Vacation Bible School is a blast! Kids of all ages are welcome to come and learn about God's gracious love!
Faith Formation for Adults
Women of the Word (WOW) meets every 2nd Monday of the month at Sandy Nies' home. We use the Bible Study found in the "Gather" magazine. All women are invited! If you are interested in joining us, please contact the church office.
