Wednesday Night Activities — Frequently Asked Questions
What are Wednesday Night Activities?
Wednesday Night Activities are a fun, faith-filled evening for kids to learn, play, create, and grow together. Each week may include a Bible lesson, games, crafts, hands-on activities, music, and special activities.
Who can participate?
All children are welcome from babies to 6th grade for Faith in Action and youth group for 7th-12th graders! You do not need to be a member of Faith Lutheran Church to participate. Bring a friend!
What ages are welcome?
Our Wednesday activities are designed primarily for children and youth. Specific activities may be geared toward different age groups, so check the weekly announcement for details.
What time does it start?
Wednesday Night Activities begin at 5:30pm with music, a lesson and welcome activities geared toward pre-k thru 6th graders. Dinner is served at 6:00pm with activities and games to follow. Confirmation for grades 7 + 8 meet for confirmation at 7:00pm. Youth group for grades 7-12 meet at 8:00pm.
Where do we meet?
Activities take place at Faith Lutheran Church in Isle, Minnesota. Check the weekly announcement for any special locations.

Do parents need to stay?
Children who are not fully potty trained must have a parent or responsible adult stay with them. Fully potty trained means no accidents, using the bathroom independently, and being able to wipe and manage clothing themselves.
Do I need to register?
Registration is not required for most Wednesday activities. Some special events may require registration, so watch for announcements.
What should my child bring?
Usually, just themselves and a willingness to have fun! For special activities, we may ask children to bring specific items. Those details will be included in the weekly announcement.
Will there be food?
Wednesday night includes a meal with a beverage (water, lemonade, milk). Confirmation kids are welcome to join us for the meal.
What if my child has allergies or special needs?
Please let our leaders know about any allergies, dietary restrictions, or other needs when your child arrives so we can help make the evening safe and welcoming.
What if my child has never been to Faith before?
That's completely okay! We love welcoming new faces. You don't have to be a church member or know anyone ahead of time. Our leaders will help your child get settled in and included.
Can my child bring a friend?
Absolutely! Wednesday Night Activities are a great opportunity to invite a friend.
What if we can't come every Wednesday?
That's okay! Come whenever you can. We understand that families have busy schedules. We are going to be doing an attendance prize incentive for 2026-2027.
Who can I contact with questions?
If you have questions about Wednesday Night Activities, contact Tasha Kuhlman or the Faith Lutheran Church office.
What if my child has behavioral issues?
We understand that every child is different! We ask that children be able to safely participate and follow directions. If a behavior becomes unsafe or significantly disrupts the group, a parent or responsible adult may be asked to step in, remain with the child or pick up their child.
Faith In Action
Kids between grades pre-k through 6th are invited to attend Faith in Action which meets every Wednesday at 5:30pm during the school year. There's FOOD! FUN! And lots of learning about Jesus! Kids learn about the Bible, but also learn the Lord's Prayer, the 10 Commandments, and The Apostles Creed.

Join Us!
Confirmation
Youth in 7th and 8th grade attend Confirmation that meets at 7:00pm during the school year. In the two year curriculum cycle, they dig deeper into the Bible (one year), and learn about Martin Luther's Small Catechism (The Lords Prayer, The Apostles Creed, and Ten Commandments), all the while exploring questions they may have about their faith and how what we learn in church applies to their lives today.
Students are confirmed in the fall of their 9th grade year after all of their requirements are completed.

Youth Group
Wednesday Night youth from 9th through 12th grade get together at 8:00pm to build community, connect with others in their age range and learn to grow their faith. Food, fellowship and fun! Want to join us? Just show up!
