Marigolds are often used to symbolize remembrance.
For our Spice Up Your Prayer Life series in the month of October we are offering resources to make paper tissue flower to help you to remember to pray for your loved ones. Anyone with an impact in your life. Remember those people and pray for them.
Prayers for Family Protection and Guidance
Lord, spread your protection over my family. Guide them and keep them, and help them to trust in you each day. Be with my family as they go about their daily lives. Cover them with your protection, and guard their going out and they're coming in, both now and forevermore (Psalm 121: 8). Amen.
Prayers for Family in Difficult Times
Lord, I pray for my family members who are going through a difficult time right now.
You say in your Word that we will experience trouble- but we can be encouraged, because you have already overcome the world (John 16:33). Help my family to overcome the challenges they are facing right now, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Let them know that you are with them, and that you will never leave or abandon them. During this difficult time, help my family to reach out to you in prayer. May they cling to your promises more than their daily bread (Job 23:12). Help them through this trial, and may they develop perseverance, hope and character through your grace and
power. Amen.
Prayers for Family Unity
Lord, I prayed for unity within our family. Although we may have our differences in opinion on certain matters, may those differences never break the fellowship of our family unit. Unite us together in love. Help us to be intentional about spending time together as a family. Help us to uplift, encourage and strengthen one another through fellowship and through your Word. Amen.
Daily Prayers for my Family
Lord, strengthen my family each day. Help us to love and cherish each other on a daily basis. Help us to forgive when we have wronged each other. Give us grace to make mistakes, and to help each other when we are down or discouraged. Help us to intentionally spend time together as a family, and to spend time together in your Word as a family. May we gather daily at the dinner table, and enjoy good food and fellowship. Strengthen our family bond, and sustain us each day. Amen.
