“Be Watchful and Pray - We are all one in Christ”
“Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” Romans 13:10
God left us with a new command. To love all people regardless of their background, status, and nationality. Sometimes this command becomes hard to follow. Especially if we’ve been hurt or have had our life or our way of living threatened. Or, when we encounter opposing view points. From what we hear in the news today, our world is in desperate need of healing and love. Especially with all the violence and war, with political disagreements on what is right and wrong, with dissensions and division over multiple issues, and with individual’s rights being taken way. They have a way of bringing out feelings of hate and anger. This is not God’s wish for his people. We have all been created in God’s image…to be loved, accepted, appreciated and respected regardless of our outward appearance, our gender, health conditions, or disabilities. Jesus welcomed everyone. He accepted everyone. He loved everyone. In Galatians 3:28 it says, “ There is neither Jew or Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” The point Paul is making here is that In Christ we are all the same—we are equal with one another.
