As the days grow longer and summer settles into Isle, there’s something special happening at Faith Lutheran. This season is full of opportunities to gather, celebrate, serve, and simply enjoy time together—both in and outside the church walls.
Wrapping Up Spring
We’ll close out Faith in Action on May 13, celebrating another meaningful season of midweek connection, learning, and shared meals. Thank you to everyone who made it such a special part of our year.
On Sunday, May 17, we’ll celebrate seven graduating seniors from our congregation. This is always a meaningful Sunday as we honor their journey and pray for the road ahead.
Our seniors are:
Lucas Karels
Isaiah Borg
Danie Larson
Livia Raverty
Payden Hanson
Tucker Haggberg
Nevaeh Gesell

Baccalaureate
On May 20, we strongly encourage you to attend the Isle High School Baccalaureate in the Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. This is a nondenominational religious service celebrating our graduating seniors. Most of our area churches participate every year, and they take turns hosting it. This year Pastor Josh Blair will be preaching.
Many schools have done away with baccalaureate, we don’t want it to go away in our school. Please consider attending and let us show our support of our graduating seniors and this ceremony, and to show these young men and women how important our faith is. We are also looking for baked goods and bars to bring to the event.
Supporting Our Youth
Our youth will be busy this summer hosting brat stands at Teal’s Market as a fundraiser for their upcoming mission trip. Stop by, grab a bite, and show your support on:
May 9
May 23
June 6
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
These events are a great (and delicious) way to invest in the next generation.

Pentecost
May 24 we celebrate Pentecost and encourage everyone to wear red to the service. Pentecost is a powerful and joyful moment in the Christian faith—often called the “birthday of the Church.”
It takes place 50 days (6 weeks) after Easter and remembers the day when the Holy Spirit came to Jesus’ disciples. In the book of Acts, we hear how the disciples were gathered together when a sound like a rushing wind filled the room, and what looked like tongues of fire rested on each of them. Suddenly, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in different languages, sharing the good news of Jesus with people from all over the world.
Kicking Off Summer
As the school year at Isle wraps up on May 29, we shift fully into summer mode.
Gun Raffle & Breakfast at Faith
On June 7, join us for our Gun Raffle & Breakfast at Faith:
Breakfast: 10:00–11:00 AM
Raffle Drawing: 10:30 AM
Tickets: $20 each
It’s a fun morning of food, fellowship, and excitement for a great cause.
LYO Leadership Camp
On June 7-10, we are sending a few of our youth to the LYO Leadership Camp. Youth Leadership Camp is intended for youth who are interested in growing in their gifts for leadership. The youth who often have the best experience are those who are already leading in some way and excited about going deeper in their faith and leadership skills. While we believe all youth have gifts to share, it is important to consider which youth are ready to grow through this deeper leadership and faith experience.

Summer Gatherings & Worship
Faith doesn’t slow down in the summer—it simply moves outdoors!
July 12 – Isle Days Chapel in the Park
A beautiful time of worship as we gather with the community during Isle Days.
July 15 at 11:30 AM – Annual Faith Planning Meeting
All committee members are encouraged to attend as we look ahead and continue shaping the future of our church together.
Youth Mission Trip
Our Faith Lutheran youth are heading to Montana for their mission trip June 14–22! During this week, they’ll be serving others, building connections, and growing in their faith through hands-on work and meaningful experiences. Keep them in your prayers as they step out to be the hands and feet of Jesus and make a difference beyond our community.
Youth Mission Trip Presentation
Join us on Sunday, June 28 as our youth share stories and reflections from their Montana mission trip. Come hear how their experiences made an impact and how God worked through their time of service.
Following worship, stay for a church picnic at Sandy Nies’s—a great time for food, fellowship, and celebrating together as a church family!
Vacation Bible School
Mark your calendars for one of the highlights of the summer:
July 19–23 – Vacation Bible School
A week full of faith, fun, learning, and laughter for kids of all ages. More details coming soon—but you won’t want to miss it!
A Summer Evening on the Lake
We’ll wrap up the summer with one of our most unique and loved events:
