“Be Watchful and Pray - for Spiritual growth
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18
We’ve heard these words...become more mindful, more approachable,
less judgmental, more bold, self giving, and less self absorbed. But, they
are just words with an attempt to help one become a better person. Yet,
when we live and interact with people everyday who may not be like us,
who may not share our values, or who have angered or upset us in some
way; these words are really not that helpful. As Christians, we can
become frustrated with what society says we should do and how we
should act. It is from the Bible we will find the answers on what God
expects from us...to love God and others; to accept all; to live justly,
compassionately, and humbly with each other; and to reflect God’s
character in our actions and our relationships. Living out these words are
not that easy. Yet, God gives us a way where we can live out those
words. It is when we choose to grow spiritually through prayer, study,
worship, fellowship and through God’s grace.
Grace is God's gift to us of forgiveness, acceptance, and love." —unknown
