“Take my life, and let it be….consecrated Lord, to thee”
“Therefore, I urge you… to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true worship.” Romans 12:1
France’s Havergal’s song titled, “Take my Life, and Let it Be”, is a simple yet powerful prayer. The words in this prayer carry a significant expression of surrender, trust, and willingness to serve God completely. It is about giving our life back to the one who created us and letting him use our life for something far greater than anything we could ever do or achieve on our own. Over the next few months, we will explore each verse of this song to help us find purpose in surrendering not only our life, but every part of who we are to God who has designed a perfect life for us.
It is an ultimate act of faith, to say,
“Lord, I trust You with all that I am.”
